Zombie DC and Ultra-G have both finished Badwater, and highly recommend this DVD! This will give you a fairly sizzling feel as to just how hot it is out there and how much of "the right stuff" it takes to gut this thing out!

In July of 1999, four-time Emmy Award-winning director Mel Stuart (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) and his team of 16 cameras and crew followed 13 racers, who competed less against each other than against their down physical and psychological limitations. Those who finish the race in less than the 60-hour time limit receive only a belt buckle. Little reward for completing a 135 mile course that covers three mountain ranges and a total of 13,000 ft. of vertical ascent across the hottest desert on Earth...on foot, in July. DVD extras gather additional footage, including interviews with director Mel Stuart, and race accounts and stories from race organizer and AdventureCORPS owner Chris Kostman.

Not rated. 102 minutes.
